Yes, that is the technique that I have adopted, using two small Prussic Loops.

The Kip Cruising Club burgee is of a very similar construction, built up of different layers, and also made in the good old US of A but it seems to be less demented. It might be slightly lighter, and smaller.

PS - We've managed to drift Claymore's thread a long way.

I wondered why Carousel was a bit slugish as we brought her across to load up. I could see the green beard but much more was lurking below.

The rudder had a big clump of sea squirts on the end. Red splotches of some thing I didn't recognise, dangleberries of mussles, barnacles and white worm things.
Her bum was similar, I had to wind the keel half way up to get her over this far, the last time I did it I left it down but couldn't do as good a job.

The Centaur laughs at me if I try to do the same thing, but she has a bit more ballast.

Phil, Alison and Bagheera are currently in the Algarve. I went to la Coruna from Ardglass with them.

I had a nice email this morning.

We didn't get to Tayvallich last year when we were out and about crewing for Mum, it was nice to know we had a bolt hole if we needed it though. Anyway, the mooring didn't have a boat on it all year. I said the mooring would be occupied this year when I was talking to someone from the mooring association last year.

It seems we are expected to begin our season at Easter because the email went soemthing like,

"since the mooring isn't in use it will be alocated to the next person on the waiting list. Get the mooring serviced then you will get more for it when the new person buys the ground tackle off you."

There is a bit more but that's the jist of it.

I haven't been told what to do with the boat waiting for antifouling @ Kip, presumably I'm expected to magic a mooring from somewhere.

Should I ask for more or less than £5000 for the mooring, they are rare and must have considerable value?

I think you will find that you can only ask the value of ghe ground tackle. Because it is a moorings association mooring you have no rights to sell it as a mooring, only as a lump on the seabed and some chain.

Moorings associations can be difficult . . .
