I knew that Newbridge was wrong as I typed it - I was judging by the wrap around windows in the saloon but the stern is too modern looking.

Looking through sales sites, the Tonic and Fantasia have similar windows.

Yes the do but Definetly not a Fantasia it's bigger than 27ft and on a fantasia the mast is forward of the front window. And a Tonic is 23 ft so not that. My money is still on an Attalia.

The way the top corners of the transom slope forwards is very reminiscent of a Jeaneau Sunrise I chartered in 1998, so it could be that sort of era.

Could the black wrap round bit be just paint?

Probably Loch Lomond, the boat was based in Balmaha to start with, but that's another story...

I looked much the same at that age although the nearest I got to sailing was a rowing boat in Whiteinch Park and the ferry to get there.
