In my defence, I left Portsoy in 1970 so I've been down here a lot longer than up there! My mother lives in Keith so I'm in the NE fairly often.

Ahhh - so the 18 May 1972 is the Date of Birth of Silkie the boat - not Silkie the forumite.

Yes - I thought that you must have been burning the candle at both ends! or else that it was the effect of two consecutive Chentleman’s Cruises!

Actually, I always wondered about the age - you didn't 'sound' 34 in your posts - and now when I look at the Blog profile, it's obvious that it refers to the boat - so a boat that only sails well, but can type too! clever stuff.
