We got nibbled in Craighouse at the end of May which was pretty unexpected but someone I work with has just got back from Skye and is scarred for life - emotionally as well as physically.
Moziguard would be worth packing
Malts Cruise - We promise to behave...
To prevent embarassment, a word of advice to those new to the Classic Malts Cruise. When visiting the various distilleries on the way, it is customary to tip the tour guides. Lavishly. Perhaps even extravagantly. There is really no limit to the riches you may bestow on these hard-working, dedicated souls whose only aim is your entertainment and enlightenment, and your abundant generosity will ensure fair winds, calm seas and balmy sunshine for the duration of your cruise. Probably.

The holding and Eloise's draught are the issues in Easdale Sound. Picking up the mooring solves the first but this illustrates the second:

I don't know the minimum depth you might encounter but it shouldn't be too hard to sink a few pints ashore providing you don't try to enter or leave at LWS.
PS - No information provided by me should be used for purposes of navigation.
PPS - I believe that the Oban Distillery tour guides are particularly deserving of your largesse and especially if they are called Tim Bo****.
PPPs - I would like to state that I have no connection whatsoever etc..
..but it would be a big fat lie.

Thanks!!
Well, we're nearly on our way. I wanted to thank all of you for a warm welcome and your guidance and suggestions!! I hope we do share an anchorage or pub space, and if we should I can promise a pint or two on me...(this would mean I would buy you a pint, not that you should throw one one on me. Besides, you wouldn't waste good beer like that, would you? No, you wouldn't).
As for tour guides in Oban distillery whose names possess Tim and a bo, should we meet, compensation will be addressed. I fear we will be arriving too late Saturday night for the ceilidh, but if we make it I will look for you.
God bless and good fortune to you all and all who sail in you!!
