Nearly calendar time.

Please send pictures fulfilling the following criteria for consideration:

1/ Must feature a yacht under sail

2/ Must be min. 1900px x 1300px

3/ Must contain at least 25% sea or sky or other reasonably uniform area for superimposition of calendar, and pref. more so people have somewhere to put icons

4/ Should be sharp, not blurred, out of focus or otherwise pants

5/ Owner must be able to stand rejection if photo is not used

Please e-mail them. If you don't have my e-mail address PM me.

Whilst boats under sail make beautiful pics it isn't always easy to take them, especially if one is actually sailing the damn thing. Even other peoples' boats tend to be too far away, going in the wrong direction or have the sun behind them making a decent composition dificult. I wold be perfectly happy to see the odd boat at anchor (esp sunrise & set) or even the odd anchorage view from land or boat.

Stuff like this for example;

Calendar to go bottom L & icons top L.

Of course boats sailing are nicer, but variety is the spice of life.

Fail!

Over the last 120 calendars there have been loads of pix that are NOT boats under sail, especially anchored or moored at sunrise, sunset and all times in between - too many, some would say - hence my request.

So - has anyone got any nice pix of yachts under sail?

Aye, that's nice - the backstay is a bit annoying, but I can crop it so that is right over to one side. If you can send me the full res version that would be great. I;ve pm-ed you my e-mail adress.

Could you reverse it as well to reduce Stomper's bowman's embarrassment?

Or what about this one Nick, should meet the criteria and it is one of mine.
Incidently anyone know where it was taken?

Looks like the Big Cumbrae in the background, possibly looking towards Kepple.

Alistair, you're being very cruel to bowmen(persons). It reads the correct way to him on the foredeck :D , and maybe the packer got the red and green corners in a fankle?

Nothing like as cruel as I was to my own crew after this debacle - right at the end about 13:20. Someone was bound to find it and post it eventually, so I thought I'd bite the bullet!

Edit: Why didn't that work? .... Ah! it has to be "uk" not "www"
