Thanks for such a great blog. Terrific writing. I had to put down "Dove" by Robin Lee Graham to read it and, without bulldust, you're the better writer.

One monor quibble:

Living, say, in a remote caravan, tipping processed fish-meal and occasional doses of medicine into the sea is scarcely an appealing career option.

To a South Coast Software Engineer that sounds like paradise.

Hello Everyone

I've belatedly discovered that the formal application has now gone in, with just a few days left for comments.

I appreciate that not everyone sees the issues as I do, but clearly it's helpful to the process for all views to be aired, so it's a pity there's been very little publicity.

I've put up a further post on http://www.scottishboating.blogspot.com, which has a lot more information.

Remember, the deadline for comments is 27 July!

That's today, folks. Mixed feelings on this, but on balance I won't be objecting.

A&B Council have confirmed the deadline is in fact 4 August. To date there are over 300 objections to what is in effect a new site and of double the size of the present one.
