Simon's post has got me wondering where we got to with this thread -

I would be first in the queue if something could be arranged in Scotland, or even "Oop Norff" in Englandshire.
What is the feeling of the fourm????

.
Oban would be an ideal venue, but I would be prepared to get the wee shoogly train down to Glasgow if there was a quorum at an appropriate time - it could be a social event as well. Someone should let the Scuttlebutters know.

I posted this on Scuttlebut, and it would seem that Fascadale and Duncan Mack are up for it. Nick, Julian & myself from here makes a total of 5 people.Nick wrote:.

I think that we would need about twice this number to make it viable. I'll send Simon an email to see what he thinks the minimum numbers would be.

Re: Weather School in Scotland
I had a reply from Simon, and he says he needs 12+ to make it viable.
5 is a long way short of 12. Do we just accept that the weather is sh1te up here anyway and just get on with it, or do we rely on magic seaweed to forecast the weather, or are we just too tight to spend a few beer tokens on learning about the weather??
Unless we get a lot more interest, I can't see this being a goer.
