They all seem to agree at the moment - SW F5 for Thursday then going NW and easing over the weekend as high pressure builds from the Atlantic.

Yes, you're right - not much shelter in Bunessan in a strongish northeasterly. Tobermory is a bit rubbish as well in NE. Tinker's Hole?

While the gribs (Magic Seaweed etc) are definitely giving 5-6 for Saturday off the West Coast of Mull I am not totally convinced - here's the BBC synoptic for Saturday:

Yes, you're right - not much shelter in Bunessan in a strongish northeasterly.

The area off the old Bendoran boatyard wouldn't be much good, but, with the greatest of respect etc, anchoring off the jetty towards Bunessan village is ideal in NE winds.
