"Cherry Ripe" / Isle of Mull
Amazing how recognizing a familiar name can bring a grin to your face. Sailing back from Tobermory, I heard "Cherry Ripe" calling the ferry to advise him that he wasn't visible on AIS. Interestingly enough, I had noticed, a few days before, that his heading was 180 degrees out??? Anyway. I...

What did she say? Is my memory still good, or am I loosing my marbles? You're correct - the terminal used to be at the beach end of the runway, and to get to it you did indeed cross the runway under lights control. So not losing it at all, good memory. The old road was closed when the terminal move...

West Coast Charts
"Rosally" will be in the Oban area from @ 8th August - @20th August. She currently has an abundance of charts of the area (50 mile radius) in various scales which are surplus to requirements - these were onboard when Rosally was a charter yacht. There must be around 20 charts in total and ...

Well, that's a shame, Tim was about the only one holding the place together ...

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the wa......
It looks like Rosally (and myself) will be heading back West after next season. Despite a couple of very enjoyable years at Peterhead, I have decided that I miss the scenery and anchorages of the West Coast and intend heading over that way again (A 3 day break - by car- over to Dunstaffnage, the oth...

Re: My existence on TOP is hanging by a snooksy thread
I must admit, I imposed a ban on myself posting on forums (other than genuinely boaty and practical topics).
It is in my nature to get wound up far too easily, so I have found that the best tactic is to ignore the posts or just go away and surf some porn....... errrr I mean work on the boat !
