Re: Wanna buy a Marina?

At around 170 Acres, the new owners have lots of land to develop space for motorhomes, caravans and camping, which I assume they would also want to use the LOTI. See the sales brochure outline of land in red. Of course we don't know what was finally agreed except the rental cottages were not include...

Re: Wanna buy a Marina?

Marina owners now fully on seat and have asked berth holders for comments via a survey with free text space. LOTI will open spring next year. Going for Gold Anchor Accreditation The survey provided a good opportunity to express opinions on a wide range of points from the car park to interest in well...

No doubt they will want to see an uptake in berths, probably annual berths initially, as a lot of berths are summer ...

Re: How Hot?

16.3 Celsius, Firth of Lorne, 2 miles east of Loch Spelve, at the moment. Yesterday, further south is was 17 celcius. Brand new Raymarine transducer for ST60 speed. High water temperature can be indicative of a failing sensor. Prior to the previous sensor failing it was reading over 30 Celsius. Just...

Re: Interesting plans from Calmac

Given the state of many highland and island roads, there's little point in making any improvement in the links to/between the islands. I note the the recent royal visit to Campbeltown avoided the Rest and be thankful in a way that's not available to many locals or visitors. Indeed. It is rather sad...

Ayrshire to Arran and another on to Campbeltown? cross the Clyde the Cloch and cross to Dunoon and the Cowal peninsula? Some foresight and parts of Scotl...

Re: Interesting plans from Calmac

Good on Shetland Islands Council for their forward thinking. I can't help but wonder about priorities and per capita value. Still, where others lead, the rest shall follow. Is this the start of a new Scottish Renaissance in public infrastructure? Don't give up your CalMac Island Hopper tickets yet. ...

Re: Lucys

Hopefully someone else will take over the site and run another eatery.

I read they are starting another place in Ardrishaig.

Always enjoyed Lucy’s food and atmosphere.
