Today I completed the installation of the new gas pipe, the last thing to be done on what turned out to be a 3 year on land plus 1 year on the water refit. Just need to service the engine, take all the crap off the boat and clean her up, then off I go. Like all the best plans there is big spanner in the works, my employer has lined up 4 projects abroad: Kuwait, Bolivia, Nigeria, Qatar so the best bit of the sailing season, end of April / beginning of May will be missed.
I am very excited at going sailing again in a yacht that does not resemble a workshop! Probably kiboshed my whole season by saying that.
Anyway, if you see a short, fat, bald Scotsman in a Rival 41C called 'Sruth', say hello and come over for a cup of tea or a dram.
Safe Voyaging.
