Getting distressingly back on topic, it doesn't look like Friday or Saturday will see much spinnaker action if the forecast holds. The pink monstrosity may not be revealed until Sunday!

Re: Round Mull
Well I ordered it as Ibrox Blue and thought it was OK.
Could this be the reason for post match bruising? (only joking, I don't do footy)

AIS says I'm now in Cardingmill Bay so I must have survived the MoK. Much easier than single-handing through the canal.

Re: Round Mull
I (and perhaps others) followed your leisurely cruise round the Mull. These 0930 starts seem a great idea!
How did you find the Gigha new facilities? Good?
See you tonight, were on a train to Oban later. Leave some seafood for us latecomers!

Re: Round Mull
I'm afraid I didn't bother with the dinghy at Gigha though the pontoon looks far enough out to park. A wheen of moorings but still room to anchor - the count was 9 on moorings, 3 on anchors and a lot of empty buoys.
Had a look at Sanda on the way past - still 3 moorings.
As for food - nae chance, the gannets will see to that.

Re: Round Mull
Marisca, I can't find the historical AIS info on your rounding the Mull. Where did you start from at 0930? Where were you at HW Campbelltown? Just interested as I've only been round once.
Ash
PS Just had a look at an old thread of mine. We left from Campbelltown at 4am and were off Arranman Barrows buoy at HW Campbelltown.
PPS I'm thinking that HW Campbelltown would have been 0621 if you rounded on the 28th.

Ash - I'm reading doubt between the lines of your post. Do you think he employed Mr Shepherd to shift him?
Or are you just stalking him.....?

Re: Round Mull
Goodness, I've nae idea. I left Lamlash Bay around 11.00, got to Sanda about an hour earlier than my 1700 aiming point which was HW Greenock +1.20 so I meandered around on the 20m contour with the first of the north flow until the point before the lighthouse, the one with the white box, where it went a bit rolly and the tide was agin at about 2kts for a while. The 09.30 referred to my leaving Gigha which should have been a lot earlier but I was feeling crap (no, not the cratur) so I ended up trying to dodge the tide up the Sounds off Jura an.d Luing, reaching Puilldhobrain about 2100ish.

Re: Round Mull
See, told you that I was still learning - there are two high tides per day!;!; Anyway if the reference to 0930 was nothing to do with the MOK, then my speculation came to nought.

A great weekend and one which I will take a few days to recover from after the beating we took trying to recover the kite in a forestay wrap during a 25 knot gust!

Re: Round Mull
Nice pix, thanks.
We enjoyed our 2 handed entry too, and had a great sleigh ride back to Oban. Spinnaker from just past Tinkers Hole right to Oban bay. Even managed to pass a few boats!
