At the first annual Kathy Bowles Memorial Dal and Whisky night last night the management of this forum took an executive decision.
The CC2014 move to the middle of May in the hope of better weather having been largely unsuccessful, and with myself having a possible RYA commitment in the middle of the month, the BlueMoment Chentlemens' Cruise 2015 has now been moved back to the traditional May Weekend Fri 1st-Mon 4th of May.
Fairwinds and Silkie are committed, though Fairwinds' crew - if any - has still to be determined, with the boys getting first dibs. It is hoped that the fine ship Jen-et-Ross will also be coming along, subject to no rocks falling from the sky prior to the planned launch date.

Re: CC2015 1st-4th May 2015
We are planning a cruise around then. We aim to be in Tayvallich Friday night 1st May and playing out for a week from then. Depending on wind/weather, it's a good week for us to go north HW Oban 05.35 Sat 2nd May so a late morning flood to help us along.

Drink more than would be considered prudent while hacking about the nicer parts of Argyll in boats...

That bit of the plan rolls over from year to year.
A circumnavigation of Mull or even heading South is sometimes mentioned before sailing to Pullers via Tobers.

A circumnavigation of Mull was achieved in 2010
Coll might be a good target for this year?

I am hoping that Cherry Ripe will be able to join. Crew is a consideration, as is whether anything at all (electronics, engine, Eberspacher, bilge pumps, heads...) will be working by then. Apparently John the SL geezer in Paisley has refurbished the windlass, which is a good start. As to the rest I live in hope.

As a moral imperative, that goes without saying.

No rocks in the offing yet, so we should make it. Although it was in March last year that we were banjoed by the boulder so there's still time !!

Claymore's crew are as far away from a happy clapy bunch of spiritualists and evangelists as you could imagine, I'm glad to say.

Avilion should be there - with all the usual attached caveats. Lots of expressions of interest - could be quite a fleet.

What kind of knot do you use to attach your caveats? Or can you get specially-designed caveat clips?
