SWIS Sunday winds update

Postby weatherman » Fri Jun 10, 2011 11:29 am

Hi again,

Latest on the area of low pressure for Sunday is that models 1pm Sunday are now in good agreement in bringing strong winds, and gales to western and southern coasts of the country. Threat is from Saturday night onwards, transferring to the eastern and northern coasts late Sunday. (chart below is for 1pm Sunday).

Keep a very close eye on forecasts this weekend if you plan to sales. This is not a usual situation for this time of year and the low could develop, or even weaken with little warning.

SWIS Gold and Silver members now have access to a more detailed forecast and discussion about the weekend weather at http://www.sailingweather.co.uk (login then click on 'Videos and Musings'). I'll be adding another video later. SWIS Lite members can upgrade their membership now to read the latest Musing about the forecast for the weekend and view the videos.

If you have not joined SWIS yet you can get a 14-day free trial by registering at http://www.sailingweather.co.uk

Please feel free to pass this message onto your sailing friends, colleagues and clubs.

Have a good weekend,
