Red diesel is now available at Linnhe Marine at Dallens Bay, Appin, on Loch Linnhe. This is very welcome as, until recently, Paul was only able to supply full duty diesel at standard garage pump prices.

Usual disclaimer - I have no connection except as a satisfied customer.

So the time you've been spending in Bahrain has nothing to do with this development.....?

On a practical point, do you happen to know how one accesses said diesel? On a pontoon via a hose, ashore in bottles, or what?

As a slight digression, I looked at Dallens Bay on the very useful Shipfinder http://www.shipfinder.com/main/defaultwork (see earlier thread which I now can't find to give a link) and the pontoon and moorings aren't shown, just an anchorage symbol. Can anyone with access to a corrected UKHO chart (mine are on the boat and I'm not) say what it shows?

The UKHO chart BA2379 (last year's MemoryMap pack) shows the moorings as being NE of Knap Point; in reality the moorings probably start just slightly north of due East from Knap Point, extending northwards. Visiting yachts occasionally anchor in the shallower area south of the moorings, tucked right into Dallens Bay. Larger vessels sometimes anchor in the deeper water of the Sound of Shuna.
