Is anyone...
still thinking of going sailing in 17 days time? Only it's gone a bit quiet and I was starting to wonder if I'd just dreamt the whole thing.

Hope so. The boat's in the water, and everything seems OK so far. Not had the traditional shake down trip yet though.
My pal Adrian's coming with me this year, but there should still be a free berth if anyone else needs one.

Ahm, our plans are now looking a little shaky. This is due to the Argyll system.
You carefully plan a work programme involving several trades, some of whom are notoriously difficult to get hold off and all of whom need to work sequentially, then they all phone up out of the blue and say they will start work next Monday, being with us for three weeks. Not a problem except this will involve 30 tons of stone, 220m2 of driveway bricks 40+ tons of aggregate 50m2 of paving and the associated type 1, sand, ballast etc plus a JCB, minidigger and several skips. I fear my presence may be required as referee!
On the other hand today is beautiful so I'm off to clean and polish the boat.

I will not stay young forever but, I can be immature for the rest of my day's!

Bu%$er !
After 2 years of a regular month/month rotation without a hitch, my employers have thrown a spanner in the works and it doesn't look like I will make it back in time for the Chentlemans!
I may manage to get back in time for the Saturday but even that looks doubtful at the moment.

Re: Is anyone...
Just returning home from a few days out on the boat (bumpy sailing). Boat's OK apart from needing some paint and varnish.
Charlie Farlie dropped by at Dallens Bay the other day. Seems a nice chap; he didn't pass any adverse comments on our appearance (ie the boat's and mine).
