Forgot the lead, so no pics of a spectacular hail and lightning storm - this happened just after Avilion, Wild Honey, Silkie and Fairwinds set off for the Sound of Mull. It's now sunny again.

Meanwhile, TCM and crew are counting the spoons on Eloise, and I'm waiting for Mme and Minnie Sgeir.

I have say that the £40 that you gave Jim was very generous indeed, and I'm sure he will be as delighted as the rest of the team when I tell them the good news.

Everyone else is enjoying the fleshpots of Tobermory, but we left much later, so presently at anchor in Fishnish Bay in the Sound of Mull. Very pleasant evening, clear sky, but the wind could be getting up F5-7 later. Ho hum....

Nice pics Jim. The weather was strange, with hailstorm, lightning, rain, exceptionally thick sea fog, and F6 to no wind at all. The sailing conditions weren't ideal, but we certainly enjoyed ourselves.

As happens on these occasions, after the sun burnt off today's fog, we ended up with a fabulously sunny day. Out of the cooling breeze it was actually a hot day, our first of the year up here. The sky is clear, and we're anchored at Achadun Bay on the SW side of Lismore.

Brilliant weather today for the sail home from Kerrera, roasting hot but sadly no wind.

Fortunately I hadn't lost my camera as I had feared but the effect of leaving it in the car is exactly the same.

Really great weekend and a cracking sail up the Sound of Mull with F3 and 4 on the beam for those who were able to leave with the tide on Friday. Nice to be sailing in the sun and look back to see and hear the thunder and lightning and rain over the mainland. (Where's that schadenfreude (sp?) emoticon?)

I'm glad to see that everyone had a fine time on the CC2008. I liked Jim's album. I thought that Nick was worried about his Volvo stern seal again, but no, he was certain that he had stored a lemon in the bilge and determined to find it.

The alternative to the CC2008 was the LLCC2008.

Here you go, it was taken as we SAILED through Lismore. Sunday morining was a batter back against a F6 bang on the nose!

Point taken but I only motored for 10 minutes to squeeze past Lismore. The next 20 miles were all under sail.

Leaving later on Sunday resulted in using every conceivable sail combination on Silkie from two reefs and four rolls to full sail but mostly motor-sailing.
