Mattiemelad - I can't do text - its me fingers. I'll phone you but don't spring the old "I'm in Antigua - where are you?" routine again.

Fair enuf - i'm in St martin till next week, about 80 miles from antigua, completely different. Prolly cheaper to chat here, esp with free internet time from some beach hut.

I always get someone else to do the texting if at all possible, best under the age of fifteen.

Either way, i am whooshing north on the friday in new uprated motor so gimmee a call on wednesday week. I haven't got yer number, address, see, so the car will simply plough onwards along the M6 unless i program it otherwise.

You might want to keep an eye on the news. Currently there looks like being a strike at Grangemouth at the weekend which could give real problems with, at worst, no road fuel available in Scotland or N. England.

Yes that could be a problem. tcm's car will probably do 12 miles to the gallon dropping to 9 at his cruising speed of 107 mph.
At least it's downhill on the way back!

Some of the scally petrol-sellers are up at £1.30 already, I hope they're black-balled when the fiasco is over.
