Friday - Saturday update
Friday - Saturday update
Shard didn't make it to the T+T but most did, and we played some music. We played some music and the bar cleared, and eventually 6 of us headed off in one small hire car to try out DaveS's and also Silkies Tesco Abelour, and we established the the seven dwarves according to W Disney are Dopey, Sleepy, Sneezy, Doc, Bashful, Happy and Grumpy. Claymore advised that his summer crusing plans are to go to Tobermory, but not tomorrow. I thrashed it back to the Loch Melfort Hotel which said they would close at 1am and got there at 12:57. This morning we slipped our parking space and explored Oban, i.e., Tesco's, the Ee-Usk fish caff and dolce Vita caff, for wifi. All due at the LOTI in Craobh tonite. No string gloves, but there might be a pool table.

six! Who was on the roof rack? Or is
'small' a relative term? Round the world in a big cat, and now Oban. Hope your cruise director gets you sailing. A weekend round trip from the Carib to Seil is more than most of us would consider.

Saturday - Sunday update
Well, we played some music too, but no audience as at anchor in Port Ramsay. We attempted to come down the Lynn of Lorn against the tide and an F7 yesterday, but was making very slow progress so retreated to Port Ramsay, where we still are.
Wind dropped at about 1015, but pretty wet and miserable, so don't feel inclined to catch the afternoon tide south. Sorry about that. What're you guys doing?
I believe Silkie is sailing from Dunstaffnage to Dallens Bay today, so wondering if he might call in here.

Re: Friday - Saturday update
Well our booked table for 11 in the very busy LOTI last night actually accommodated 5 of us... A motorised expedition to Ardfern may be mounted to see what's become of Claymore & co.
Day 3: still wet and windy.

Still in Port Ramsay, overcome by lethargy. Lunch consisted of toast, oatcakes, guacamole and other Chentleman's dips. We shall start on the bevvy soon.

The expedition to discover the missing Claymores was partially successful in that Claymore was found, but not her crew. The G of L was visited, but without success.
I'm now back in Falkirk. The rain finally went off about Dumbarton.

I went down to see if the crew of Claymore were needing hydrated or de hydrated but had the same result as you.
I suspect they've run away from the Argyll rain.

.
Ah weel . . . off to Spook's Sunday Post quiz then.
Silkie is tucked up on her new mooring at Dallens Bay while Shard and Mme Shard are no doubt still consuming the Chentlemans' Relish amid the fleshpots of Port Ramsay.
I hope Matt and Kate had a suitably tojuristy day wherever they ended up and hope Matt will bring Kate back to Argyll some time when the sun is shining.
As for 'World Class Cruising' . . . . I will be announcing this year's BlueMoment Chents' Awards later.

Skulking in the Loch Melfort Hotel now, we spent the day splashing around, saw the crinan canal and sed bye to Claysie who was packing at Ardfern. We're off south toemorrow Monday. The sun did actually shine on Sunday as predicted by Nick, but only for a few moments, and then the rain returned.

'fraid not. We are waiting on a haulout to get a leaking seacock fixed.
