I think this plugs into a lighter socket to recharge, but I've not yet been to the shop to see. I've had 2 of its predecessors (NiCd battery and feeble filament bulb) for several years. They are dead handy, fitting into a pocket and allowing you to see the path on the walk back after closing time. Only a fiver so it's not quite the end of the world if it gets wet.
