I want to buy a new lifejacket, to supplement a suite of existing jackets that on occasion are to few. (at least the inflating type are too few, there are older ones that are not inflatables).

What do you recommend as a brand, model?

My desires:
Self inflating, automatic.
Comfortable for long wearing days.
Built in harness.
Crotch strap style.

Thoughts?

I recently bought a Kru Sport Pro, does everything on your wish list. What I particularly like is the ease of putting it on, similar in style to a waist coat with a zip up the front and it's so comfortable you forget you have one on. Cost about £120 with the harness and about £100 without.

I went for the Crewsaver Pro. I like the way the hammar mechanism is inside the bladder, so you don't get the cylinder and other important parts rusting away.

Another vote for Kru Pro with harness and crutch strap - had one for three years - had several different makes previously including Crewsaver and it's the only one I've found myself wearing most of the time as it's so easy to put on and comfy to wear.

Never had a problem with rusting even with the others - the Kru is also easy to service it zips back up very easily.

I just acquired a new Crewsaver190N lifejacket/harness with lights whistles and hood. I wore it for the first time for an evening sail last night and I can honestly say it's the most comtortable LJ I have ever worn. Crewsaver stuff is not cheap but when you see what you are getting for your money, it terms of the quality of material, careful design and excellent finish I think it's good value.

Yes, isn't it odd that a boat named like that should be green?

thanks for opinions. Good to have some advice, and I was sure there'd be something better than current XL style.
