Apologies to those who've already seen this on another forum, but I thought cruisers would like to know that diesel is now available at Linnhe Marine, Dallens Bay, Appin (56N34.9’ 05W22.8’).
This is a convenient stop-over point for vessels heading to/from the Caledonian Canal, and costs (August 2006) £10 per night for a mooring. There is a shower (included in the mooring fee), and fresh water is available on the pontoon. Paul Zvegintzov provides a free water taxi service during normal hours, and the boat is available for use by customers out of hours.

During the summer season, we keep our boat there. It’s a good base for us, and reasonably priced. Sheltered from most winds, it can be a wee bit bumpy in strong winds from the NW, but nothing that's ever caused us a problem.
