Have to work this Friday which stuffs the weekend for us so with sincere apologies and regrets, we must withdraw from this year's CC
We wish you the best of trips - stay safe and watch your kidneys!

I presume you will be available on your Blackberry 24/7 over the weekend for consultation in your ongoing role as cruise director?

That is very unfortunate, and sorry to hear it.

I'm just wondering whether, this year, any boat is in the same position as we were last year, ie we weren't able to start until Friday evening. Any late arrivals for the Chentlemen's Ball?

Well, it depends on the weather, really. If things are OK then we intend to arrive at Dunstaffnage around 2100 on Thursday. If we can't get out, or have to hole up at Pulldobhraoin, say, to sit out Thursday night / Friday morning's possible nastiness, then we'll be later.

At the moment all 3 models on WINDGURU FOR OBAN are indicating a good getting to Dunstaffnage window for Thurs afternoon and evening.

They are then indicating a good window for drinking all day in the Frog on Friday . . .

As I've got no way of contacting anyone after about 0900 this morning (need to hop on a plane), does anyone who's taking a mobile phone with them fancy PMing me their number? As we (Tafna) only have until Saturday pm to get back from Dunstaffnage to Ardfern it may be unwise to strand ourselves in and around Dunstaffnage in the event that Friday's nasties leave a nasty residual swell for the trip back through Fladda and the Dorus Mor. Being a tender 50 years old (boat not me!), I don't like subjecting her to anything too rough and to be honest, I can't afford to leave her on the visitor's pontoon at Dunstaffnage until I can pick her up again. Work has just got busy so I'd have to leave her there for a couple of weeks.

However, if the forecast improves we're up for it, and if it doesn't we may well drive up to say hello on the Thursday pm. We're staying in Ford tonight and then we'll work out what to do on Thursday. Can't leave Ardfern until 12.30pm Thursday when the tide will be ok through the Dorus Mor.

Hope to see you all.

Just to avoid duplication of effort, DaveS & I have swapped numbers.

Thanks.
