I’m getting in touch with you on behalf of Our Land, a Government-funded programme to increase sustainable tourism in our National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to benefit local businesses, communities and the landscapes.
We recently launched a new campaign called ‘Love Our Land’, which will invite people to tell us what they love about our Protected Landscapes to develop the first ever Landscape Character Assessment of the area.
Our first theme is ‘coast’ and we’re offering those who take part in our Facebook poll the chance to win a week’s beach holiday on the Isle of Wight including ferry crossing.
I wanted to put this on your radar in case this prize might appeal to your members/readers? I also wanted to invite them to get involved in this unique ‘cultural mapping’ project by uploading what it is they love about the British coast in words, pictures or film on the Our Land Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ourlanduk
) or on Twitter using #loveourland (@OurLandUK)
We really need your help to find out what it is that Brits love about the coast and I thought that your online community might be a good place to start!
It’d be great if you could share this with your readers/members on your website (perhaps in news or in the bulletin boards section/via a newsletter. Do let me know if you need more information or some pictures!
