Wee bits of teak (or similar)

Postby Nick » Wed Mar 13, 2019 2:18 pm

I can't afford toerail cleats and have problems drilling for thru-bolted ones, so am looking for a cople of teak blocks I can attache ot the toerail and then screw 'normal' cleats to.

Looking for pieces (2 of) approx. 45mm x 30mm x 180mm

Anyone got any bits lying around, or any idea where I might find some?

Could you Mibbies find ‘normal’ cleats that will match up to the holes in the toe rail , won’t matter if they lie parallel to the deck as long as you can get a rope under.

Or maybe some heavy duty aluminium angle iron? Would be longer lasting and slimmer than teak.

You are a genius Wully

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261239992338

Have ordered 400mm for the princely sum of £8.91 (free postage)
