Barring any sudden changein the imminent weather outlook we are planning to we are leaving Horta tomorrow morning and are hoping to
anchor overnight in Velas on Sao Jorge before heading for Terceira at the
crack of dawn on Thursday. Terceria will be our last island before heading
towards Europe.

At the moment our thoughts are tending towards coming back via Northern Spain. It is a bit further, but the longest leg is a good bit shorter at about 850 - 900 miles (depending on whether we go to Bayona or La Coruna) and with more options (eg to head further South for Northern Portugal) if the weather turns difficult. Once in La Coruna we can wait for a good forecast to cross the bay to Falmouth or the Scillies.

Next update should be in a couple days from Terceira.
