She's still there on the 8th of January. I think that she still has a rock poking through her starboard side, low down.

The big one is still there too as at 8th January. She looks to have much less damage than the fantasia, but she has that green, long neglected look. She has a notice on her mast - I can't remember the exact wording - but along the lines of "she's not available for salvage and she's under repair"

I'll have you know that green look is very popular, Chiron is about half way there.

We were there on Friday, 6th. We had a wander through the hard at Dunstaffnage too, and saw 'Rough Diamond' I surmise from other posts that 'Silkie' has moved S of there.

Joan has discovered Groupon so from Wednesday we had a couple of nights at The Bridge of Orchy Hotel and one at the Oban Bay Hotel before she starts work again tomorrow.

I can remember how quickly the green grew on L Lomond, and I'm hoping that it is a bit less rampant with the salt of the sea but I might be in for a big shock on my next visit to Kip as the only canvas removed so far are the Dodgers.

Chiron is now in her winter plumage, sails and dodgers off. I left the spray hood on, which is probably the main source of windage, to keep the hatch dry as it leaks.

I think that Nick's clock is running backwards. Maybe the snow has got into the works.

Both boats still on the beach today. According to the rumour mill at Craobh the land owner is not allowing access for lifting gear.

I would have thought that the crane and truck would need to be positioned on public / council / road authority ground.

The silver astra in the background of the pic below is in a car park - I would have thought that a crane sitting there would be able to pluck the bigger boat up.

The Fantasia would be a longer reach ( from the main road ) but would be lighter so still do able.

All in my inexpert opinion.

If that's so, he could perhaps be asked what insurance cover he has in place in case of further damage. The standard response to farmers who say they wont allow access to recover a glider is "That's fine. Just take good care of it, will you, as it's worth <anything up to £150k and it's now your responsibility."
