The Moronic Coastguard Agency have just sent us a letter telling us that Fairwinds is no longer registered as they have not received an application to renew the Certificate of Registry. Is it unreasonable of me to think that a letter PRIOR to expiry warning us might have been a more appropriate use of a stamp?

How long does the SSR last, I did mine in 2002, and never AFAIR have received a reminder.. If it is 5 years then I am well out, but I seem to recall it may be 10 years.. The 'card' is on the boat.

That'll be your connections I expect :)

You appear to be in a minority, and the guy who I spoke to certainly didn't say 'Oh but we sent you a reminder Sir!'
