Should we start planning our future sailing in Scotland by factoring in the Caribbean hurricane seasons?

I thought we already did. Isn't that why we bail out from our moorings at the end of September? Equinoxial gales, hurricane remnants - not much difference other than the media likes the word "hurricane".

Well, TBH, I don't think we've ever come out at the end of September, but fewer daylight hours, generally colder conditions have weighed at least as much, if not more, as to what's happening four thousand miles away.

However, it seems to me that the Caribbean hurricane season is progressively having more impact in recent years than previously. We'll probably start coming out in September...... :(
