I'm going to write to Dan. This constant raiding across the border must stop. It's time for.....

Dundonians, eh? Those shapeshifters with green skin, off Dr Who? Who'd have thunk it, eh? Told me she was from Forfar.

What goes woof woof?

To me it's a dog. I've a few friends from your neck of the woods that I've heard referring to said animal as a 'dug' over the years, and I'm learned to adjust, taking it in my stride. Sailing with a Scottish lady for the last couple of weeks, however has confused me. She was adamant that it is a 'de...

Totally blown your rep I fear. That's you lumped in with the tcm's now.

That's great. I'm chuffed to hear that I had somehow accrued some rep to squander in this way.

Re: Where is it?

Yup, I saw in in Antigua last week. The Scottish fella that owned it heard there was cheap diesel to be had there......... I did stick my head in to say hello but there was nobody home. Saw the blue flag with the white cross between Antigua and Guadeloupe the following day. Anyone would think there'...

Re: Where is it?

Nope, it's not Bridgend. Actually, we don't have a team to speak of here any more, but that's another story.

It's not Kerrera either. But if you left Kerrera by the Southern end, then turned to starboard for a bit, you'd get there.

Never! Doesnt matter how old you are, you're too young for a campoer van.

What? Why? We've had camper vans for the last 12 years. Towed our Rib all over Britain with it. Much better than canvas.

Well, I didn't vote as, even though I've been through there a couple of times, as a visitor, rather than a local, it doesn't seem fair.

Re: Luing Causeway

Yes I read the article, I was thinking about Skye before I read it. What I meant about the electricity was the scope for it, rather than the practicalities. And I was thinking of that without the causeway, not with it. TBH, the whole thing sounds like a 'Wouldn't it be a good idea if....' rather tha...

If you can afford a Hymer, can you not just get a Chinook to lift it to where you want to go?

Re: Cuan - a brief summary for those not familiar with the area

. The red herring is the idea that a causeway will bring the added benefit of tidal power generation - that will definitely not happen if the causeway is built in the next few years, for reasons I gave in that post. The idea is being suggested to put a positive spin on the causeway concept. Luing i...

Re: Luing Causeway

Nick, is the red herring one of the fish that has been hit by a turbine? I'm confused. You are right in what you say re: marine life. The stronger the currents, generally the more spectacular the marine life. This, however tends to be dead men's fingers, sponges, anemones, encrusting organisms and s...

I agree with Mr Higgs. Moore is a cracker. When he and Eddie B do it, it's very enjoyable when Moore shows Eddie up. I like Moore's newspaper articles too. Did you catch the one last year when he spoke on teh young rugby player who chose assisted suicide when he broke his neck? It was a heart rendin...
