Re: Chichester

My protracted clear out continues. I've got a copy of his The Lonely Sea and the Sky which could go to an interested party. I think I'm going to have to start asking for postage plus small honorarium for handling. Hi, If it's still available I'll have it. Happy to pay postage? Have PM'd my address ...

Re: Somewhere

in the Inner Sound area? Looks pretty isolated - and cold! Close enough, well done. Loch Hourn, behind Eilean Rarsaidh. The mountain is Beinn Sgritheall. :D Yes, it was bitterly cold, Early/Mid April with an East wind all week. Mind you, not as cold as when I jumped into Acarsaid Mor later in the w...

I was there in April and there were plenty of moorings, all in excellent condition as far as I could tell. We were the only visiting boat there. Thinking about it, I'm not sure we paid.

...significance of the cave shot... No Idea, but its long/steep climb up there; did you find any eagle feathers? LOL. 10/10! (I think it's buzzard though!) WRT to the Anchor. I don't think we can blame the Bruce - we'd made no attempt to set it at all. Mind you, if the ground's hard enough nothing ...

Ionian Trip Images

Not sure if anyone's interested, but just returned from a trip to the Inland Sea. Not exactly challenging sailing but quite a good giggle.

Maybe I can challenge people to explain the significance of the cave shot???

Carmarthen Bay Dolphin Frenzy

Tootling across Carmarthen Bay and we were joined by a massive pod (is it pod?) of dozens (hundreds?) of dolphins heading East. They surrounded the boat for 20 minutes or so & providing some unique entertainment. Dolphins as far as the eye could see. Got some video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Hard to be sure from that angle on my ancient monitor but possibly Spirit of Fairbridge and she is in Oban at the moment. If it is her, I've got some embarassing pictures but promised not to show them. :) Edit: Having studied the details I'm now convinced. Yeah that's her. Thankyou. Now show those ...

Identify this boat.

I've put this on yourboatpix (great idea - poor man's Beken). It was taken in Oban, and I suspect is a regular visitor, can anybody tell me the name?

Re: Hi Markie

Knot Pilot looks like it has some interesting stuff. As you have no doubt noticed we have just started putting together something similar in the form of BlueMoment Boltholes , and if possible I would be interested in including one or two of your reports (with due credit and links to Knot Pilot of c...

It's not a Pilot Guide but...

Hi to all, I've been meaning to make some online notes about a few places I've visited (and liked) for some time. It's a long way from finished, needs a few corrections, more detail, more places & some copyright stuff removed but here it is: http://fattie.freehostia.com/KnotPilot/ Some cunning s...
