Re: Daft threads about colanders

I see some bampot's going on about colanders in YBW's Scuttlebutt. Shouldn't that really be in the PBO section where they make them out redundant engine parts? I would, of course, have contributed my wisdom to that great debate if they'd allowed me to log on...... Modern colander designs are rubbis...

Re: Well erse, no calendar tonight

. I thought I'd found a great pic and wondered why I hadn't used it before, then found it was only 1024 x 768. I got it from the skipper of another boat we met 3 days out of St Lucia in December 2011 http://www.bluemoment.com/pix/mojomo.jpg .............................................................

Re: EEE netbook

If you applied your technique when crossing the English Channel, then you would extend your journey a fair bit because you would be heading for your destination and ignoring the fact that the tide was going to change direction before you got there. Although the "fair bit" has never seemed...

Re: Winning over Hearts and Minds

I have believed for some time that if this is to be achieved, antagonism and offensiveness, no matter the levels of provocation encountered, are usually counter productive. Would anyone agree? I cancelled my mobile phone contract this morning. The process was Hard Sell->Long Period on Hold->Hard Se...

Re: Sailing on the Caledonian Canal

Nick are the quoted prices per boat regardless of how many crew (within boats accomadation limit) are on it, or is that per person? C_W The preices are per boat per week. Thanks Nick. Not trying to be cheeky but I noticed a small error in the yacht layout discription. Lively, the Sigma33, "Lar...

Re: RYA Malin Cruise 2013. - RANT I'm afraid

I think the concept is worth supporting for those skippers and crews who want to enjoy the company of fellow sailors and who perhaps may need something like the cruise to encourage friends or family to extend their sailing beyond local waters. Sounds like a good thing to me. Must admit though, you,...

Re: RYA Malin Cruise 2013. - RANT I'm afraid

They haven't managed to convince me (yet) of the value I get for my £200 entry fee... Maybe they just haven't marketed it well, but sailing for a week in company with an RYA yachtmaster and an engineer, doesn't seem a great bang for my dwindling bucks. Never heard of it but are you saying they want...
