Re: Yacht Cruising

Superb.

My comments?

I've had a green sea break over my stern. It wasn't that bad.

Agree with you, times change. To easily travel faster than the waves in 2008 you just need £450 to buy a 20 year old Fireball.

You're great at this! I spotted the prawn salad and salmon but how the heck did you know it was smoked!

Agree, I've been over 15 hours overdue twice. Nothing happened. Never told 'em after that.

A number of women frequent this site - all of them fine people. I find myself uncomfortable with the comment that is proceeded by the asterixs.. Sorry, tried to remove it but past 60 minutes. Mrs Windfinder found it (and the whole post) funny *, ** shame the women on Blue Moment don't have her sens...

Women.

What do we know? They're a pain in the arse. They take ages to get ready to go out, and spend money like water. They watch Big Brother and the soaps and expect affection in public. They're physically weak and can't endure even the mildest of hardship without whining. They make noise with their hair ...

Re: Favourite pic of your boat

Actually, I sincerely think she is a stunner. Flattery is a sure-fire way to any owner's heart of course but it doesn't disguise the fact that you have yet to post a pic I'm afraid. Not flattery. That comment really was sincere. No boat. I charter and crew. As a wise man once said: If it floats, fl...

Actually, I sincerely think she is a stunner. Mind you with that backdrop Anne Widecombe would look good.

The militant wing of Flag Ettiquet!

A Classic from the Classic Boat letters: I am writing in response to AJ Naishe (Letters, last month) concerning the decision to fly the Welsh flag on my 1909 Bristol Channel pilot cutter Dolphin (Summer in Svarlbard, CB 240). Although I acknowledge the significant role that the Merchant Marine playe...

Re: New Physics?

This reminds me of the old "how can a fly stop a train" question... You must have used the same Physics textbook as me. The logic being that once the fly is in contact with the train the two are going at the same speed. The fly changes course by 180 degress. Therefore at some point it mus...
