While I was out at the weekend, I heard on the VHF of the loss of a yacht on the south west corner of Kerrera. They went aground around midday after I think losing their engine. A good book, unexpectedly

We were very disappointed to find ourselves and our (then brand new to us) boat not mentioned in this despatch since we had a very close encounter with Grace O'Malley's impressive bowsprit in Whitby. Oh well, some day we might be notable!

Many thanks for the tip about Cmap Max Dave; I had seen the sexy ads but not registered that it was anything to do with me. Their coverage seems better but as you mention, not many plotters use them and they seem to be the very expensive ones.
I'll wait for developments I think...
