I would have to agree with you there - but the main culprit behind the Pontoon Police has stopped marching down the jetty and handing mooring envelopes to yotties before they tie up. We noticed that they have 'persuaded' the owner of two sorry looking boats to take them away.

It was nice just to get away from most of it this weekend in Tarbert. I'm increasingly finding myself only listening to Radio 4 at half-six and Dave.

You could always let them off at Glastonbury - I've just seen some let off at the festival with the instructions clearly shown on the side of the tube.

You could always test your waterproofs at the same time.

We've had a scrub using a brush and cleared most of the 'Klingons' but it didn't make any difference to speed.

Is this going to solve the sudden engine noise change as we are motoring along at full throttle , doing 2,000 rpm at 5-ish knots? It might stop my heart lurches that happens.

Wouldn't they be better off re-opening the facilities they have closed further into the Caley canal, such as at the Inverness end next to the last bridge? Word from the loch-keepers last year is a story of consistent under-investment in maintenance (we saw part of a canal side being shored up). Any...
