What do you have to squeeze?

Is it something where the shaft goes into the stern tube?

Sorry if I sound daft, but I just can't picture what you are speaking about.

Re: Volvo Shaft Seal and Tides Marine Shaft seal

You may all be aware that you need to burp the Volvo shaft seal , especially after you have dried out. Not having either a Volvo engine, or indeed a Volvo shaft seal, I'm curious about the "burping". It's not something I've come across before. Could you explain, preferably in words of one...

The sound was fine for me. Not Hi-Fi quality, but certainly very listenable, and I'm now of an age where I have trouble picking out what anyone is saying if there is any other noise in the background. Cheers Jim ps Definately crap weather though, but it looks like we are going to miss the worst of i...

Simon, I normally use BT Yahoo as my browser although I have Internet Explorer as well. IE tends to hang quite a lot and geves me a few problems, which is mainly why I use BT Yahoo. Having said that, I've tried your forecast on IE and it went without a hitch. HTH Jim Edit - I've just tried it on BT ...

This bit, which I assume you've seen is from "Classic Boat" - "The bilge keels are made from 3/8in mild steel plate, and can be a weak spot as they often break off. They are bolted onto longitudinal ply stringers on the hull and rely heavily on the flexibility of the ply FOR WHAT, EXA...

Is there not an owners site, or somesuch, where this has been discussed and solutions expounded already?

Just a thought.

Re: Striking Coastguards

OK, a CG on duty may spend many hours doing nothing, but when he/she does, they can find themselves co-ordinating rescues from a distance such that they have no visibility of what is happening on the ground. This surely takes a strong ability to rely totally on audio communications and to manage th...
