On yachts ?

I think a hydro generator on a small boat would create far too much drag.

I agree. That's why I put the old troll smilie ! !

But as for land based, that's a completely different argument . . . . .

Re: Calendar - volunteer(s) wanted.

The only tweaks I do to my digital photos is get rid of any red-eye, and that's about it. I don't have any specific graphic tweaking software other than that which came with the computer and the camera.

Not a lot of help, am I?

Re: Calendar - volunteer(s) wanted.

I have the time now that I'm retired, although my knowledge of anything to do with graphics is zero, zilch, nada. I worked with databases for maintenance management systems - Maximo, Engarde Etc., and also planning tools - Artemis, Primevera, Open Plan Etc. I also did a bit with Business Objects rep...

Re: September 1st

He's sitting in the next room to me now and, without asking, I'm pretty sure he is still interested in your pic but has other priorities at the moment. Patience laddie, patience. :) No problem! It was just he said to remind him later in the week, and since it was Friday evening, I was just asking i...

Re: Happy Birthday Flobbets

Was up in Peterhead today and saw your friends yacht. She is on a visitors pontoon so I'm assuming he's moving her on sometime soon.

I agree that she's lovely, but like you, I don't fancy the maintenance!

Re: Happy Birthday Flobbets

You would have been more than welcome to a cup of tea - I might even have let you have a biscuit or two to go along with it.

Perhaps our paths may cross yet.

[edit] Oh, and happy birthday as well !

Ships that pass in the night - Or even during the day.

I passed through Lossie a couple of times in July, but when I looked round at Rosally there was nobody about. From Peterhead I went Whitehills, Lossie Helmsdale, Wick, Helmsdale, Cromarty, Inverness, Lossie, Whitehills and back to Peterhead. I was away about 3 weeks during the best of the weather. M...

Re: Help for a Foxhound far from home

Don't know the Foxhound personally, but I know it was an Uffa Fox design.

Someone here may be able to give you more information - http://www.uffafox.com/

Best of luck with the refit.
