The problem as I see it is that, individual businesses and communities laid and maintain moorings to encourage visiting yachts with a view to generating custom and therefor income. I observed an increasing number of boats, their owners and crew happily pick up an Hotel owned mooring for the night bu...

Dreamcatcher was on brokerage at Kip Marina after they left Kerrera, I haven't seen her for some time. I would think the brokerage may have a contact address.

Re: we've got one

I think you need to fit the biggest one possible that will fit in a suitable space. I don't see where the size of the cold tanks would come into the equation.[/quote] The water for the Calorifier has to come from the cold tanks, their has to be a ratio which provides the optimum balance, not much us...

Yes, shower etc

To be fair, we haven't used the thing in anger yet.
The boat designed for long Passages and extended cruising so the ratio should be about right.

The overriding factor will be how much water you carry.

We carry 70 gallions (320 L) and the calorifier holds about 25 litres (5.5 gals)

After much deliberation, I have decided Garmin for the new boat.

I have also heard that the Garmin car navigation stuff knocks Tom Tom into a cocked hat.

I am luckily at the point where I'm too old to cycle through necessity and too young to cycle for pleasure or pain :-)

The wee modern scanners do lend themselves to being mounted on an erection up the back, but there is a limit. I had a 24" furuno scanner on a salvaged boom section 14' long which was about enough. Great for all the other antennae and aquagen and O/b derrick, stern light etc. but I did get mast...

Season the leg of lamb and place on top of the onion/rosemary. Loosely cover the roasting tin with foil b...

This really gives me the dry-rots. What is happening to this bloody country that we have to cack everything up with daft bloody spices and shyte. Leg of lamb needs nothing beyond a sprig of rosemary and some mint sauce. Spice is the variety of life! Please don't knock what you haven't tried, it can...
