Re: Fenestrated snurble grip-thribleys

"Fenestration"? Why would anyone want a window in their snurble gripthribley? It just doesn't make sense.

Re: Clyde badly contaminated by plastic debris

Just consider that anyone eating locally caught fish, shrimp etc will be ingesting the plastic too.

In fact, I doubt that the problem is localised actually, ANY fish or other seafood from anywhere in the world is likely to be contaminated, isn't it?

Re: Staffa Archipelago: 100 Acres Of Salmon Farm Proposed?

Thank you, signed & posted to facebook.

seems a daft place to try & anchor a fish farm, how do they propose to feed the poor beggars when it blows to hard to get out there for several days at a time - or will there be some poor unsuspecting Bulgarian left on the pontoons for weeks at a time?

Re: Fleece blankets

One hour for editting? Any reason for that or just paranoia? Oh & only 3 quotes embedded! So many rules - so little point! Do you feel better now after that whinge? The 3 quotes is the standard setting - I don't even know where to change it. Unlimited editing time can be set but poses potential...

Re: Fleece blankets

Editing is permitted for a fixed period of time after posting. It is currently set to one hour. Which one of your team posted that? I'm not sure who is on the rota tonight - I'll check the database and get right back to you. (Actually, wasn't it your shift?) I think it was mine, but I arrived late ...

The dark side

has become a lot paler today. Looks a lot like this place now. Is imitation a form of flatulence?

Anyway they are all up in arms over what is largely a change of shade & a couple of minor glitches. Have you been inundated with new memebrs Nick?

OK, so it's Hurleys that the doors fall off then? I was going to correct my post, but editting doesn't seem to be permitted. So it goes.

Re: Fleece blankets

Always keep a couple of fleece blankets aboard in case your hatch jams open at 21.00 on a Friday night in January. With the help of a couple of weights to keep them in place they can cover the open hatch as an effective preventative measure against hypothermia. Might I recommend Polarvide from IKEA...

Re: Time to get the decorations down?

There is seldom much choice this far South, it's good to see any available at all.

Stuffing a sheep's entrails is not something I would encourage in our kitchen.

Time to get the decorations down?

Is it not very bad luck to leave the decorations up after 12th night? :santa: As we are now little more than a fortnight off the infamous night of celebration of that great Scottish Rabbi, who burns the haggis may I respectfully suggest that it is time for the snowflakes to dry up? BTW Morrisons are...

Worse than that, it's used rain, we had it all last week. In fact I'm surprised there's any wet left in it at all now.
