Edinburgh’s new luxury marina

I presume that means the lavvy won’t be a portaloo. Are any of you rushing to book yer place amongst edinburgh’s high end? Is this not planned to be on the sight of Nicola’s windmill factory which never came about? Some golfers I know describe a difficult 5 foot putt as a Nicola. Good tae see we’ve ...

Wanted Haynes manual for 4 cyl BMC diesel ex Fleetwood taxi

My friend is intent on stripping his engine down in order to cure various defects. He would be indebted to anyone with such a manual c1970 and which might be for the B or C series? Would he be better advised to put up with said defects and await the diesel scrappage scheme’s start? I would recommend...

Re: Strange light in the sky.

After a week of pish the skies cleared yesterday and a most unusual light appeared in the sky. It brought warmth and has reappeared this morning. Is this to herald the shortening of the days? Whilst enjoying the best holiday we've ever had, cycling the Hebridean Way, I ventured into the Kirk on the...

Re: The problem with webcams that don't work

I suppose your recently reported less-than-lithe figure prevents inspection of the third non-functioning device? I lost sight of mine some time ago although that might have something to do with poundsaver's reading spectacles ..... xxxxx

Re: Problemo

In recompense for missing this, could I recommend Cif Power and Shine for cleaning up auld tubs. With the amount of plastic with which Bendix washing machines are made off, this stuff makes it look as good as new. I have, like a sheep dip, immersed my fine vessel with no deleterious effects and it t...

I've used the word without the "c" successfully for some time. They can't spell over there anyway which is what I'm depending on.

Re: Problemo

Whilst in Hogwarts, I asked William the elder thug what other places he knew. The look of condescension which children are so adept at, descended. He reeled off the names, all of which sounded familiar to those on the itinerary you mumbled over the phone, hence fantasy voyage.

Re: Problemo

The little thugs were taken to see Christ Church College, the location for Hogwart's College, and despite it being half term in the U.K., the place was full of woggery. Christ Church must be making a fortune and are entirely unconcerned at giving the students indigestion as the throng stand outside ...

Re: More rugby

One weekend pleasure was the absence of the whiny Welsh git telling us constantly what the players should have done. STV does have some advantages. The BBC's Scottish one, Nicol, is as bad. Shocked I was when told he can be booked as a comedian or after dinner speaker recounting humorous incidents ...

Re: Cash incentives offered to move to Argyll and Bute

As far as I recall studies written by various universities prior to the indyref did point to the weakness of the SME sector but none suggested offering a £10,000 incentive to grow the sector. There is an interesting cpy Xanthella in Oban who convert algae into energy. They started with nearly nothin...
