Yep, sounds like him.

I can picture the drill now! He is a good bloke, but some might think I'm biased. They are planning to be in Tarbert for a couple or three weeks. If there are depressions queing up in the Atlantic ready to roll in they often come home to do the washing. They have only just gone back though so...

Tinker Tramp Accessories.

Sale Pending, sorry but you missed it. My Pops has just had to consign his Tinker Tramp to the skip as he couldn't mend it anymore. The upshot is that there is a sailing kit for said Tinker up for grabs in "as new" condition. I think I'm the only one to use it and that has only been a coup...

Scorchio

I'll second that motion, Brodick only had 4 moorings spare Friday night and Saturday night Milport was chocker with several boats anchored.

It wasn't much good for sailing but the factor 4 was used to good effect.

See you about maybe

Donald,

I'm launching on Saturday at Largs. Plan A involved possible visits to Millport or Holy Loch depending on which way the wind is blowing and how much.

Since I will probably be on plan F at least by Sunday, I could be at Kip too. What's your boat called? I'll listen out on VHF.

A couple of other forums I'm on employ tactics to foil the spammers. The norfolk broads one you have to get your first two posts authorised before they show. I supose this is only a slow down tactic but it could help a bit. The dating site I'm on you can't post on the forums for 3 days, you can go s...

Sorry to bring this thread back on topic, though it's a w/e later, I've been keeping ½ an eye on the weather for the bank holiday w/e and can't make head nor tale of it. I'm going to be cruising in the Clyde and all them long sea lochs/kyles and such. Is the best policy to see what happens? Getting...

I hope I don't sound too thick but I have to ask a daft question. Your profile says Loch Melfort, and there has been mention of the Irish Sea and IOM. Where is the boat? The northerlies coming round to southerlies sort of point to IOM but I can't be sure. Edit: just found a post from a while ago abo...

Another tip.

Look both ways before you cross the road.

Ok so the old ones are still the old ones, it seemed mildly humerous after ½ a bottle of red.

Hello and thanks for a good read.

Hi Nick n Kathy,

I’ve been having a wander around the forums and picking up the odd gem here and there, then I found this. I have been reading for the past week, only coffee times and “when I could prise the kids off the ‘puterâ€

Yeah, but.. Forums can get too busy. There must be a sort of equilibrium level where things are moving along nicely but not too fast for most folks to miss much. I am on the norfolk broads forum, and because they are Broads first and boats way down, another forum was started for people who go on the...

Can I second that bu**er though not in the literal sence. Never mind, try for next w/e, it's bound to be nice then, I'm coming on holiday. That's that theory shot down in flames then  depart sharpish like.

Thanks for the warm welcome. :D Windermere is good for convenience but I would rather sail up there anyday. I'm quite likeing the trailer sailing though. I got a fortnight on the Norfolk Broads last year too. If you don't like "No Mooring" "Private" signs don't go there, especial...

My parents have a mooring in Tayvallich and I can confirm that the harbour quango can be a bit unhelpfull. The old folks are knocking on a bit and Tarbert is more matched to their energy levels now. They have threatened to sink any moorings not used for 2 years and re alocate the moorings to their m...

Good afternoon fellow boaters. I have found this site while looking for info prior to my Clyde Cruise in a few days time. I'm planning to arrive at Kip or Largs on Sat 26/05/07 for a 2 week cruise round the Clyde. I only managed a good week (9 nights) last year and spent 3 nights hiding at Kames in ...
