I say, that was polite old chap!

Perhaps the "lady" could demonstrate her good intentions by removing the out going link from her sig?

That looks to be round about Spring Bank. I'm planning to be up there with my new mates in the "Trail sail association" about then. They have "done" the Clyde at spring bank but sometimes gone adventurous and launched at Oban ish. If we colide say Hi. On my 18 footer it would be ...

Do we want another Solent?

I don't like the term "Boat Parc" either. One of the good bits about the Clyde is that it's not over used, though I could have been fooled at weekends. And it's still sheltered for small boat sailing like as what I do. It's a part of being there that you need a dingy and some wellies if yo...

Multiple profiles

It's dead interesting is this following someone round. I'm on a dating site with a forum. Folk keep getting banned and come back as someone else and are left alone if they behave, but you get to recognise them after a bit. There is a Lass in Brum who organises meets and she must have ½ dozen screen...

Twas not I your honour, honnest!

I was on the M61 going to the lakes (Windermere) via my girl friend's in Preston. I now have a new drum (£50) and am sorting out new rims/ tyres (£52 each side) and am going to have another try this W/E. When I have come up there I go to Largs so don't get as far as Loch Lomond. I do fancy having ...

When Trailing a boat

stop every mile and check your nuts. Wheel nuts that is. I stopped a very short time before I lost a wheel at 50 to 60 MPH on Friday night. When I jacked up the trailer to see if anything could be done the two remaining wheel studs were smaller than the holes in the rim and the wheel fell off. Still...

Age is but a number

I don't know about the difference, if the pic on the avatar is anything to go by there may be a year or two.

I'm 49 this time, but you are as young as the woman you feel so that knocks 4 yrs off!!

Yep, sounds like him.

I can picture the drill now! He is a good bloke, but some might think I'm biased. They are planning to be in Tarbert for a couple or three weeks. If there are depressions queing up in the Atlantic ready to roll in they often come home to do the washing. They have only just gone back though so...

Tinker Tramp Accessories.

Sale Pending, sorry but you missed it. My Pops has just had to consign his Tinker Tramp to the skip as he couldn't mend it anymore. The upshot is that there is a sailing kit for said Tinker up for grabs in "as new" condition. I think I'm the only one to use it and that has only been a coup...

Scorchio

I'll second that motion, Brodick only had 4 moorings spare Friday night and Saturday night Milport was chocker with several boats anchored.

It wasn't much good for sailing but the factor 4 was used to good effect.

See you about maybe

Donald,

I'm launching on Saturday at Largs. Plan A involved possible visits to Millport or Holy Loch depending on which way the wind is blowing and how much.

Since I will probably be on plan F at least by Sunday, I could be at Kip too. What's your boat called? I'll listen out on VHF.
