I'm not really interested in what's happening in Wales and if the view is good, Scotland isn't that interesting eithe...

The Beeb still seem to be being told that there is a salvage operation:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lanc ... 240061.stm

My Crew in Preston sent me that link. Mind removing the fuel oil could still be the first step in chopping it up into little bits.

I have to say this is the place to come for the better class of insult.

The humour is excellent, and it's multi lingual, I feel quite at home.

I can't say I'm suprised at that. Was it built in 1977 or somat, it's well old for a ship.

I took my Crew to have a look at the beast at the w/e, it's not aground, it's ashore!

Am I hearing you right, you aren't doing anything other than filtering this chip oil before using it as fuel? The normal thing to do it to treat it with an alcohol (methanol) and separate the glycerols off before using it. There is more to it than that, I'm trying to keep it simple. If you do that i...

I just watched episode 9, the boat show looked a bit lame but the thing on servicing lifejackets was about as good as a training video. I thought it was usefull, I'm off to unscrew me air bottles, I've never done that before.

Claymore old chap, it's the start of the slippery slope is that.

When I started sprogging it was made perfectly plain that my old folks were more than willing to do whatever they could out of season. During the sailing season they had done their bit bringing us up. It seemed fair at the time.

I would imagine that NASA are going to want their pound of flesh, ie replace the whole sender unit. Mine is a MkI and about as much use as a chocolate tea pot, still the GPS works.

Had a look now, must admit I hadn't before, does that mean I'm discerning? I bow to Nicks greater knowledge re sailie web sites and their longevity, or not. Who ever did the site has put a few hours in with a bit of content, but even I can recognise that the initial spurt of enthusism is going to wa...
