Too much identity politics, not enough engagement with actual issues.

Yes, just loaded it into the car. Ouch.

Re: Wot news of the galvanising project?

Have taken delivery of my chain- what a difference!
There are a few welded links but I'm sure a few taps with a block of wood will sort that.
Thanks again, Geoff :)

Re: Lang Mae Yer Lums Reek and Some 2016 Thoughts

After two years of working in a seasonal job which has all but stopped us using the boat, I'm taking 2016 off, as is SWMBO, due to the arrival of a tiny new crew member. Hope we're not being too optimistic but we intend to do as much sailing as possible this year. So Kelpie's 2016 compliment of crew...

Small self tailing winch wanted

Does anybody have a single small self tailer lying around? The smaller the better.

The smell reminds me of Glasgow smog in the '50s.

Re: Puffers

Thanks for the headsup, I enjoyed that. Brought back memories of a school trip to the VIC32.

I suppose Fergusons landing craft fulfil a similar role today, but they ain't much to look at!

Re: Chain Locker - Vega

Ash Your anchor locker looks the same as mine did. I had 30m of 10mm (or possibly a close imperial size) chain. It would never all fit in one go, though- half way through, I would have to disappear down below to shoogle the pile of chain and collapse it into the bottom of the locker. The odd time wh...

Re: Bulk Purchasing and Buying Power

Thanks Geoff, but actually when I dug out the Avon bracket I realised it's held together by the paint, so is beyond help without welding. A job for another time, then.
