Kobra anchor

It appears from ageing posts there's some experience with this bit of kit around here, and also with the Delta. Would any of those enthusiasts from a couple of years ago, who had thought to go to Canna, care to share?

Re: Tablets & navigation software

What do you think? That seems good value. £20 per year.... So also is the MemoryMap package at £30 for, well, forever.... But you can't wrap yon fresh-run salmon in a Dangleberry, now. Sometimes there are just no substitutes for a 50p old Admiralty Chart from the Beaulieu Boat Jumble. Espeshully wh...

Re: Special Delivery

With apologies to poet-laureate John Masefield..... Echoes of an Oyster. I must go down to the sea again, in a modern high-tech boat, And all I ask is electric, for comfort while afloat, And alternators, and solar panels, and generators going, And deep cycle batteries with many amperes flowing. I mu...

Re: Jackstays - the ultimate solution?

Webbing.... I have a couple of bags stuffed with 2 metre by 50mm straps, each end with a properly sewn loop, and each certificated to 650kg. They have been recycled from a couple of local builders' merchants and come wrapped around bundles of copper tubing to facilitate off-loading by forklift. Free...

Re: Special Delivery

Me no know! There was the suggestion that under the acres of polished oak flooring that was the saloon/ballroom, there lurked several dozen http://www.barden-ukshop.com/rolls-marine-flooded-deep-cycle-series-5000-batteries-330-c.asp batteries. It was, however, well above my pay grade to go investiga...

Special Delivery

Apropos of nothing much, I found myself - to everyone's surprise - standing my watch "2-On, 6-Off" on an Oaxter 575 fumbling its way from deepest, darkest Ipswich ( a dreary almost-Belgian settlement not even on the London River ) towards deepest, darkest Palma, Maj. a couple of weeks ago....

Re: digestive biscuits

I imagine I'd be a bit bruised too if I'd spent an entire season in a locker. How many headlands have they rounded? Bars crossed? Overfalls endured? Waves jumped? It's my biscuits he's on about. Every so often he does a 'Raffee Raid', when I'm not looking, and some of the goodly store of crumbly co...

Fractious goings-on in another place

only yesterday Webcraft was posting asking how to remove The Lounge from his Forum list. He'll only see this if he's peeping between the cracks on his fingers, or has come out from behind the sofa. Mind you, I hope he doesn't see this! He'll respond with a ten page rant of pseodoscientific psychoba...

You can discuss it with him! And rumour has it that he and his production crew lived in the Inn, not in the bothy. Mayb...
