Re: It’s not Sailing.... but it’s good!

Bringing culture to Renfrewshire? Most definitely! I have a couple of our Bernard’s (aka Bernard Wrigley) up-me sleeve. :D Well!..... I ask yer…. they keep giv-in me this Burns chap in some rather strange (very unusual) dialect…. so some real culture from up north (of England) just has to be...

It’s not Sailing.... but it’s good!

Just back from the Music Club in Houston. Great night, great people, great music. I only managed to play one song as (I had a playlist & it was as if all the “old-boys” had a copy).... it seemed that my choice was popular. Some were reading from the works of Edgar Allan Poe….. but I managed a Si...

Navigating through the pages it’s slow, stop & then falls over reporting an error & has been like this since 04:00 this morning.

Re: Anyone in Troon Friday evening?

Had a quiet social down at Troon. Nick was onboard a very nice HR, gave him a text & we went for Fish & Chips back at the club, then over to the Bar / Pub for a couple of nightcaps where our Nick found some (apparently) very nice real-ale. Myself on the other-hand was on the shandy as I was ...

Issues With TOP

Anyone else having issues with access and stability of TOP?

Cos at the moment it seems to only sometimes allow access, and then falls-over when accessing another data area / page, rendering it unusable!

Re: Sahona Holed

Hi Fairy Nuff, Your description does sound like the event in question. I was listening to all the chatter on the VHF & couldn’t see any vessel in distress until I was a lot closer, by which time the Troon Inshore was approaching which I then redirected. I’ve also had issues with my roller reefin...

Re: Anyone in Troon Friday evening?

“after me slagging you off on TOP”…. ahhhh….that was nothing!.....I’m just very thick skinned from years of living below the waves….. with some right Monstars. Yep…a UFO31 trumps a Newbridge 23 for space and comfort…. but I like to think of her as cosy. Our club is very basic, but we do have a kitch...

Re: Sahona Holed

Could extra info (like a photo for ease of casualty ID) not be added to the existing MARS database? Most definitely… (good idea Bill)…. as the Troon Inshore was launched to a vessel in distress off Lady Isle a couple of years ago… & as I was in the vicinity they came straight for me!? (could be...

Re: Situations Vacant: Sanda

I’m so glad that they still provide food and serviced moorings, as it looks (to me anyway) the best place for a “stop-over” when rounding the Mull etc. :D

I believe some never had any in the first place to lose. :x

The act itself is bad enough… but it places suspicion on others and creates a general bad feeling for all… with most of us being the honest, helpful and decent type.
