Very sporting of you to try and keep on thread. Sheena is also very upset that you don't rate her beauty. Donald his is what our popular green sprayhood looks like and is doing what it is designed to do. It didn't come in a tin. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/donald_beaton/th_DSCN0069.jpg

Owen Sails

Our spray hood is magnificent. Its a plasticky material - not acrylic but sits very tight on the frame. The perspex window is very clear and distortion free.

I wouldn't like to comment on just how much this cost! Luckily we bought the boat with it already fitted.

East Coast

Donald Sounds as if it was a bit boring at times (Beaches and headlands). I've had a quick look on Google earth at the coastline - isn't technology a wonderful thing. I would like to go to Carlingford and Stranford Loughs but am unsure if there is anything of interest other than a few places between...

Next Summer hols look as if we will be heading south and west rather than north. Hopefully the east coast of Ireland, maybe as far south as Cork and back - being daring here - via Wales and IoM. Am I being ambitious in that three weeks max is all I can spare  . What do the Forum recommend in ...

Doh! didn't get that far down the posts.

Must try and keep up. I went through something similar and lowering the tack sorted it for me on my last boat.

Glad to see you got fixed up.

Your problem is not uncommon. If your sheet block is at its farthest travel aft all you can do is lower the height of the clew above deck. This will tighten the foot and open the leech slightly. This is what you want when hard on the wind in a breeze. This will reduce the draught (in conjunction wit...

Would really love to go - still like to think I can play like him when I've had a couple.

Now that he seems to be playing north of the border again I'll live in hope that I catch him next time.
