Re: Scottish Islands Peaks Race. Crew required.

Please don't say things like that....it puts undue pressure on backup runners...

Re: 2014 calendars

Are you seeking pictures? or preferences? My preferences are for variety. Especially interesting pix, that cause some comment or question about location or activity. If seeking images files, where to send them? Looking for preferences, although all pictures gratefully received :) Will PM email addr...

2014 calendars

Might as well do as many as I can up front....so can the users of aforementioned calendars tell me what you prefer? Scotland/elsewhere? Sailing/anchorage? Small boats/big boats? Cruising/racing? Any other elements you prefer in your pics let me know, I'm afraid it'll be a trawl through my own photos...

Oh blimey, it's January and I've missed the calendar. Damn. Erm, Happy New Year to all, and I'll get on it later when back at base.

Re: No, really, what is it about Aberdonians? (minor rant)

For fear of placing online something which may later come back to haunt me, I would only suggest that this is also something that is prevalent in the IT/web industry, from a particular type of client. While there may be a few extra zeros on the end of the invoice, I am having to deal with something ...

Re: December calendar

No significance, that's just how I have always counted weeks. If there's a preference for it to start Monday I'll do that from next month :)

December calendar

Afraid I only remembered about this half an hour ago.....shoddy I know. So with apologies to the two pics submitted, I had to go with something from my library. But will use the submitted ones for January. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/67392791/December/December-thumbnail.JPG 1024 x 600 https:...

Nice photos?

Since it's veering towards the end of the month, and there's not much else to do once the boat gets hauled out, would the fine members here mind having a trawl through your photo collections for ones I might be able to use for calendar pictures? I have one for this month, then after that there are f...

Re: Calendar - volunteer(s) wanted.

Hi Nick, I've not received any photos at full original to use, and I head off abroad tomorrow morning for a week, so I've thrown a quick batch together for October and will look to do the next few months when I get back. The naming convention part of your message was missing, so I've named them with...

Re: Calendar - volunteer(s) wanted.

OK, I just gave this a quick whirl. Took about 15mins to figure out what to do without any artistic merit whatsoever (i.e. get the table of calendar dates onto an image as a transparent layer using a quick-and-dirty combination of Word, Gimp and some old photos). The time consuming bit is I suppose ...

Re: Carry-out crisis

Skye has already been gotcha'd. The new Indian at the top of the pier road is all finished ready to go, but has a lack of staff after a few were shown the plane home. Apparently there's been a few other establishments on the island looking for replacement staff in a hurry too.
