Re: Cleit cardinal and Claymore's Rock

. It will probably just mean more numpties braving Cuan and hitting the rock off the N. end of Shuna. I have (non-sailing) friends who have expressed shock when I tell them there are unmarked rocks lurking in navigable waters, that are a potential threat to passing boats, but for me there are thing...

Cleit cardinal and Claymore's Rock

Petition

.
In case you hadn't seen it yet...

A parliamentary petition to revoke Article 50. Its looking unlikely we will get a 'Peoples' Vote', so take this opportunity if you are that way inclined.

Heading for 3 million signatures as I type.

Re: Help understanding my Annual Tax Summary (OT)

.
Not sure I entirely understand what you are asking, but there is a 19% income tax band rate in Scotland on the first £2,000 of taxable income, which means low earners pay less income tax in Scotland to the tune of £20 per annum.

You are a genius Wully https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261239992338 Have ordered 400mm for the princely sum of £8.91 (free postage) Could you Mibbies find ‘normal’ cleats that will match up to the holes in the toe rail , won’t matter if they lie parallel to the deck as long as you can get a rope under. Feck me it's windy

.
Just spent ten minutes wrestling with a shed door and nailing it shut. Hope Fairwinds is OK on her mooring. Dogs blowing off chains here, and some spectacular thunder and lightning earlier.

XC Weather and the coming storm . . .

.
Why does XC Weather more times than not predict a deadly storm at the end of its prediction range a week hence, a storm that inevitably moderates or disappears as the day approaches?

Any weather/prediction model experts have an explanation for this phenomenon? :rainonme
