Blog Template

I appear to have a minor bugette in my blog template (Collegiate, I think?) in that although the maroon titlebar "Plain Sailing?" is always centred across the page, the "About Me" box is sometimes centred and sometimes left justified. Compare Silkie's First Sail of the Season where it is centred wit...

I must be going blind...

... (Mother said it would happen) but when I click on the Seamaiden link I don't see any entries, far less 16. Where am I going wrong?

Sentbox/Outbox

What's the difference? Is a PM in the outbox waiting to be sent? If so, how do you send it? Have you received a PM from me Nick? It all seemed to work OK last time I used the PM facility.

Yes thanks. Are you going to be posting more? I'd love to have copies by email of any which you don't post publicly, if you can be bothered.

Nick, It's four years since I used the visitors pontoon berths at the Isles of Glencoe hotel (though that was the case then) but HOT NEWS Shiny new fendered visitors pontoon berths are now available at Tobermory for £2 per metre per night. Surprised your Tobermory entry hasn't been updated yet. :D ...

Walking on Water - A Cautionary Tale

It has been suggested that a report on my recent near-death experience might prove educational and so I have written it up in my latest blog entry.

You'll not go far wrong with the Hurley in my admittedly outrageously biased opinion. I know nothing of the others beyond their reputations but the Jaguar seems the odd one out on your short-list being more modern, beamier and perhaps slightly flightier than the others. The Corribee's excellent repu...

No' too bad

Our later start and a superb Fairwinds Fry-up probably helped. We had a cracking F4 beat in brilliant sunshine. Left Craobh about 6 and got home about 9. Wonderful weekend though day 1 was a bit of a baptism of fire being the first sail of the season for the crew of Avilion.

Has it no jist..

Dave Simpson's kindly offered a berth. We're meeting up at closing time in Craobh on Thursday - that should be a laugh as we've not knowingly met before. Snap! Have PM'd you. Bet that's a first here too. It could well have been Easter 2004 when you met Windseeker on Rathlin since she's come up from...

Excellent!

I have done the same since I had a bit of a set-back with Silkie at the weekend (see the blog for details). Look forward to meeting you and the others. Fingers crossed that Auld Nick is fit fur it.

Sympathy for the Devil

Had a similar experience myself about 10 years ago. I had hurt my knee a few days previously (dancing and yes, before you ask, alcohol had been taken) but thought little of it. I was sitting at a table and just happened to press my feet together and bang, agony. It seems that I had torn the cartilag...
