Disgraceful!

This used to be a really interesting forum with lots of boaty stuff. The quantity and quality of posts has noticeably diminished ever since all this cliquey drivel and bad language started. Perhaps the Moderator could set up a new forum, perhaps called The Nursery so that the pre-school rattle-throw...

Easy. Down the right hand bit, then took a wrong turning at the bottom. Easy mistake to make.

Blog log-on prob

Nick

I've signed up, had the wee welcome message, but now can't log on the bloggy bit.

Do I need to come up to the Tigh na Truish with the alcoholic equivalent of a brown envelope?

See perverse?

Tuesday morning? Spent it putting the sails and dodgers back on. Taken them off for lift out the previous week, but too windy - so decided instead to keep her in for a bit.

Peel Harbour, Isle of Man

For those venturing to the west side of the IoM, you may wish to know that the works on the hydraulic cill and the associated bridge were completed in July. When open, the cill has a minimum clearance of about 2.5m. Opening times are approximately 2 hours either side of high water, and there is 24 h...

Kirkwall

Hi Nick - pleased to hear you made Kirkwall, although I hear from you elsewhere that it's peeing down. Well, as usual, the west coats is basking in sunshine, pleasantly warm with the mildly cooling effect of a F3/4.

Church Bay, Rathlin Island: New pontoon

There is a new pontoon with space for several boats (and more when rafted) in the outer harbour at Church Bay, Rathlin Island. Local people told us that the outer harbour has been dredged, and is deeper than the inner one (which I believe is about 2m on the SW side). I was told that it costs the sam...

Re: Progress

Have you decided yet which way you're headed for the season? Nup. We'll probably keep it on the Clyde until end July. Then take 6 weekls or so, either north to the Western Isles, or south to Scilly Isles, via Ireland and South Wales. If the weather is settled, and we get some high pressure areas at...

Ach Davie man, in my declining years, I'm never totally certain whether I'm addressing Mr Silkie or Mr MacHurley, however, the good news is that she's now being coated up and was looking chust beautiful this afternoon. The verry thocht o' her back in the water puts all of these minor concerns into a...
